This is a beautiful, detailed account of one woman's life-long journey into the heart of God! Paula describes a period in her life when she so longed to be close to God but felt like there was an invisible wall between them. She longed to please Him by doing all the things she thought she ought to do by keeping all His rules but still feeling as far away as ever until, at last, she almost gave up trying altogether. How many of us can identify with this terribly hopeless feeling? It was wonderful to read of her journey of encounter with the One she had always longed for once all the barriers fell.
